Take Away 143 ~ Morning Pages

I signed up for an online class ... hoping to get out of the writing slump I've been in for far too long. One of the suggestions was to read a copy of The Artist's Way. I'm only 3 chapters in but have taken the suggestion to write 3 pages first thing in the morning, no matter what. It works! Creative juices are flowing. I'm a bit scatter-brained and finding that my thoughts are racing even after I fall asleep at night. I wake up for ideas but can't seem to hang on to them. I know this will all settle down.

TAKE AWAY: Take suggestions or leave them.
It matters not. When the time is right, I won't
be able to avoid action.
The
time
is
right!

  1. I started writing Morning Pages several years ago when I read Julia Cameron's "The Right to Write." They really make a difference in my day. I have a copy of the Artist's Way and began reading it last year and even started doing Artist Dates… but then something derailed me. I was planning to start that again this year and wondered about finding others to check in with and share ideas. Interested?

  2. I am taking a short creative writer's online (three live discussions) group. $59 got me into the UnBoot Camp with 40+ writers and a private FB group where ideas are shared. Let me send you the info via email. I think I'm in over my head with a lot of very creative types but I'm going to stop listening to the voice in my head that just typed "I'm in over my head" and go with it. The person who encouraged me to sign up is a friend of a friend (both of whom I have never met) who is a creative writer. I'm there for the encouragement! When I look back my writing since I started my Freezerburned blog, I started out writing every day and now I'm lucky to write once a week, or even once a month. Just need to keep the fire lit. I know you know what I mean.
