I'm not feeling my best today but I'm going to suit up and show up and see what happens. My experience over the last 30 years of working tells me that once I get going I'll be okay. I always have the option of throwing in the towel and going home if I'm too sick to work.
TAKE AWAY: Suit up and show up and see what happens.
Hope you were able to rally once the day got going!
ReplyDeleteOMG this is so true! It's pretty much what I tell the kiddo in the mornings when he begs to stay home. I tell him to go anyways and if he's sick, the nurse will send him home. It has worked wonders over the years and now, it's not that difficult to get him moving. Me on the other...now that's a totally different story. I'm not much of a morning person, so I usually feel awful for the first hour or so.
ReplyDeleteUpdate: I made it to 10:00 a.m. and with a really bad sore throat and headache, I headed home. I'm home again today and it moved into my chest. Hoping some rest and lots of chicken noodle soup with fix it. I'm one of those people who hates to be in an office with a co-worker who is hacking and coughing.
